Police in Fiji say a group of youths believed to be responsible for death threats against Australian embassy staff in Suva could be arrested within days.
Police said at least two people, and possibly three, were believed to be behind the threats. All were aged 18-20.
Last month, two copies of a death threat against Australia's High Commissioner to Fiji James Batley were left in an envelope at the high commission after being delivered by a man who had pulled up in a taxi.
Eight days later another death threat, believed to be connected to the first, was received by mail.
Following the May death threats, the Australian government offered diplomatic staff the opportunity to relocate, and criticised Fiji authorities for not allowing Australian police into the country to help protect embassy staff and their families.
