Fiji's ousted Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase, says there is a possibility that his party will take the interim Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry's tax evasion case to the Fiji Independent Commission against Corruption and Police Commissioner.

Mr Qarase told Fijilive the issue was one of their resolutions at the annual general meeting held on May 23.

He said Mr Chaudhry should be brought to justice.

Mr Qarase stressed that the interim regime on one hand do not spare people with the slightest suspect of corruption and in Mr Chaudhry's case, it was a white wash.

He said everybody should be treated equally.

A tribunal appointed by the interim regime had cleared Mr Chaudhry of tax evasion.
