The District Court in Samoa has set a trial date to hear evidence on five charges of assault, including one of indecent assault, against the suspended assistant police commissioner, Moto'otua Tiatia.
The three day open trial is set to start on October 22nd
Mr Tiatia was charged by police after two police women filed separate complaints of alleged sexual harassment to the police professional standards units last year.
A further investigation of the alleged offence was carried out by the police criminal investigation department.
