The MP Siumu in Samoa, Tu'uu Anasi'i Leota, has denied claims the district will meet this month to discuss the current land dispute which is before the Supreme Court.

His wife, Tu'uu Tuigaiata, secretary of the land committee, has also denied claims by two matais in Siumu that the meeting will discuss the removal of people and their belongings from the disputed land.

She says the meeting will only discuss the development of agriculture and not the disputed lands.

The couple have also rejected claims by people of the constituency that they are behind a move to stop the court case against the government.

Tu'u'u Anasi'i says the matter will be heard again in September and it will be the last hearing of the case before a decision is to be made.
