Vanuatu police are questioning an Australian man accused of being part of a multi-billion dollar investment scam.
Trevor Frank Bettet is one of three foreigners who met the Vanuatu Prime Minister Ham Lini last week over what they called an investment opportunity.
But Mr Lini became suspicious and asked his country's Reserve Bank to investigate.
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation says Mr Bettet is being questioned by police in the capital Port Vila.
New Zealand police are reportedly holding an American and a British national over the scam, after they fled Vanuatu.
