An assistant police commissioner in Samoa, facing five criminal charges, including three of indecent assault, has yet to enter a plea.

The man, who has name suppression, made his second appearance today in the District Court.

The suspended officer has been charged after two policewomen filed complaints last May alleging he attempted to rape them.

The matter is further adjourned for the defendant's lawyer to consider the charges.

Meanwhile a Supreme Court hearing for another suspended senior police officer, who is facing indecent assault and rape charges, is set for December 10th.

He was charged after a woman alleged she was raped while in police custody in June last year.
