A super villa in Fiji at the five-star Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort has won awards at the 14th annual World Travel Awards in India.

Voted on by 167,000 travel professionals worldwide, the resort, located just east of Savusavu on Fiji's northern island of Vanua Levu, took two prizes.

It won Fiji's top villa and Fiji's Leading Boutique Resort.

The 168-square-metre villa has traditional Fijian architecture, has its own swimming pool, garden, jacuzzi, a 3.7m waterfall, day-bed pavilion, and a two tier deck.

Furnishings are made of local hardwood timbers, thatch and bamboo reeds.
