South Pacific Express Incorporated in American Samoa has told passengers that it will not be operating any flights until November 18th.

Airline staff at Tafuna said this is due to a Federal Aviation Administration mandated inspection.

The grounding of the service began Tuesday.

The suspension of flights comes as many travelers head to Samoa for the long weekend.

Monday is a holiday to commemorate Veterans Day.
