American Samoa's LBJ Tropical Medical Centre has appointed a Certified Public Accountant as its new chief financial officer.
LBJ's chief executive officer, Patricia Tindall, says Rick Nader, who currently works for a hospital in the United States will take up his post next month.
Ms Tindall says Mr Nader has worked for the federal Medicare programme and
this experience will assist LBJ in direct dealings with Medicare over its extended repayment programme.
LBJ has been instructed to pay back $9 million to Medicare for the years 2003to 2005.
