The American Samoa Senate has requested the government's Office of Property Management provide a detailed report on all government fixed assets, including all its current real estate property and their estimated value.
Property Management Office official Faafetai Vaimaona told senators that the government's real estate is currently valued at US$235 million while fixed assets are worth US$75 million.
But he couldn't provide specific details about each land property owned by the government or the specific fixed assets.
Senators have requested an official record, after complaints that some real estate claimed by the government isn't properly registered.
