A media campaign will start in American Samoa to get the word out about some hazardous toys made in China.

The Samoa News newspaper has stepped in to help the Health Department Task Force with the recall of toys that are regarded as dangerous because of their high lead content.

The task Force chair, Dr. Ivan Tuliau, says the paper will publish pictures that will serve as a guide for the public to check whether they have any of these toys in their households.

Dr. Tuliau says the toy recall affects the whole community and its suggestions will be welcomed.
