Australia's world champion sailor Aaron Worral breezed to take out the South Pacific Hobie 16 Championships easily in Suva yesterday.

Worral swept past the field to win race 17 and 18 and had enough points to take out the overall title as he took a rest in the final two races of the afternoon.

Fiji's Graeme Southwick finished in second place.

New Zealand's Andrew Springford made a late charge in his best day of sailing on the final day but had to settle for third place.

Garth Stewart of NZ finished in 5th place.

The sailors tested the World Champs venue at Laucala Bay in Suva ahead of the big event in October.
