New Zealand's largest Pacific community pays tribute to Sir Tom Davis

New Zealand's largest Pacific community South Auckland, has paid tribute to former Cook Islands Prime Minister Sir Thomas Davis who died in Rarotonga yesterday aged 90.

Manukau City Councillor, Sua William Sio, says they join with the people of the Cook Islands in mourning a Pacific leader who achieved significant heights in both his medical and political career, and later as Space Surgeon for America's NASA programme.

Sir Tom was also passionate about Polynesian voyaging and Yachting, and was awarded Sportsman Achiever of the Year in Yachting 1998.
