All Fiji Rugby Union coaching and management staff to the Rugby World Cup had blood tests done on Friday.
The Fiji Rugby Union has always had a zero tolerance policy for the use
or possession of illegal or performance-enhancing drugs.
Chief executive officer Timoci Tavanavanua explained that any member of
any national team that breaches any part of the FRU's anti-doping policy
would face severe consequences.
"In such cases, " he says, "the Fiji Rugby Union Board may terminate that player or
official's involvement with the team and or the FRU,"
The results of the tests will be known next week.
