NRL targets pacific youth

10:21 am on 28 June 2007

A host of Australian NRL stars with Samoan, Maori, Tongan and Fijian heritage will take on coaching roles at the first ever Pacific Rugby League Day in Sydney next month.

The Day will provide 160 participants aged between nine and 15 from the Pacific community in Sydney to learn league skills.

On hand to pass on their knowledge will be first grade players from the Roosters, Parramatta Eels, Penrith Panthers and Wests Tigers while NRL chief David Gallop will help launch the event.
