Swiss defender Alinghi has beaten challenger Team New Zealand in the fourth race of the America's Cup to level sailing's most prestigious race 2-2.
Alinghi crossed the line 30 seconds ahead of their rivals in overcast race conditions off the coast of Valencia.

The Swiss pushed the Kiwis out left to the port layline and hit the first mark 20 seconds ahead.
Alinghi, extended the lead to 35 seconds at the second mark.
The Kiwis cut that to 25 seconds by the final mark, but Alinghi held its own in a tacking duel to cross the line ahead
New Zealand has protested the way Alinghi hoisted and lowered its mainsail in the race and it will be dealt with by race officials tonight.
