Tafea FC has demolished JS Baco 5-0 in Noumea to win the Oceania Football Confederation O-League Preliminary tournament in New Caledonia.

The Vanuatu club champs finished the tournament with two massive victories over New Caledonian club champions JS Baco and Papua New Guinea NSL giants University Inter FC to seal an O-League berth.

Vanuatu was not represented in last season's OFC O-League competition following the controversial withdrawal of the Port Vila Sharks due to the club's inability to supply an international standard venue.

Port Vila Sharks were replaced by Auckland club Waitakere United who went on to claim the 2007 OFC O-League title and a qualifying berth at the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan.
