A state funeral is scheduled Friday morning in American Samoa for the late Senator Fai'ivae Apelu Galeai, who died last month at the age of 76.

Following the state funeral Fai'ivae's remains will be taken to his home village of Leone for a church service, followed by an overnight vigil.

Congressman Faleomavaega Eni says Fai'ivae was a master orator and understood very well just about every aspect of the Samoan culture, simply because he lived it and practiced it in his village

He acknowledge that the two had differences in the past but Faleomavaega says he always respected Fai'ivae's views
