The Office of the Prime Minister in Fiji is now calling on foreign countries to reconsider the travel sanctions placed on any person taking up appointments in the interim administration.
The Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, Parmesh Chand, says he wrote to three foreign missions last week to try to get an exemption for those people to be nominated for the Public Accounts Committee.
Mr Chand said he has already received feedback from two countries that anyone taking up positions on the Committee will also face travel sanctions.
