Italian syndicate Luna Rossa has claimed its place in the final of the Louis Vuitton Cup after another emphatic victory over BMW Oracle Racing.
The Italians have romped home to take an unassailable 5-1 lead in the best-of-nine series against the big-budget American syndicate.
Luna Rossa will meet either Team New Zealand or Spanish outfit Desafio Espanol in the final which will begin on June 1.
Desafio lived to fight another day as they got the better of Team New Zealand by 15 seconds and now trail 4-2 in the series.
The Italians swept round the first mark with a comfortable 33-second lead over Oracle and held that advantage over the remainder of the race.
