Fiji businessman back at military barracks

3:52 pm on 15 May 2007

Reports from Fiji say a Suva businessman, Ulaisi Taoi, has again been taken up to the military barracks.

One of Mr Taoi's staff told the Fiji Times that eight soldiers marched into his office this morning and told him he was wanted at the barracks.

At the weekend, Mr Taoi, who is the president of the Indigenous Fijian Business Council, appeared on television with bruises to his body.

He had been taken to the military camp, questioned over an anti-military website and beaten by soldiers.
