Former Wellington rugby coach and current Sharks assistant coach, John Plumtree, says the south african super 14 side is well primed for this weekend's semi final against the Blues in Durban.
The Sharks and the Bulls have made super rugby history by winning the right to host the semis for the first time with the Bulls to welcome the Crusaders to Pretoria.
Plumtree says people may be surprised at South africa's success in the competition this year but they shouldn't be.
He admits there been a certain amount of luck involved but the Sharks and Bulls have also played well.
