The champion Fiji football side Ba have been beaten one-nil by New Zealand's Waitakere United who head off to the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan later this year.

They've won the inaugural Football Oceania-League title, after an Allan Pearce goal in the early stages of the second half at Mount Smart Stadium.

Waitakere Goal Keeper Michael Utting also made fantastic saves to preserve the 1-nil lead.

Waitakere's Solomon Islands striker Commins Menapi picked up the Golden Boot award from FIFA/OFC Ambassador and former France and Real Madrid star Christian Karembeu for his five goal haul in six O-League appearances.

The winners also get nearly 500-thousand US dollars in prizemoney.
