American Samoa Governor Togiola Tulafono says an American-based furniture maker is considering setting up operations in the territory.
The governor says more discussions with the company will take place when he returns from a trip to New Caledonia
The Arizona-based company says it is keen to come to the territory.
It says it will be looking at the available workforce and hopes to recruit 100 skilled builders and craftsman for a proposed factory
