Tropical Cyclone Cliff is reported to be moving away from Tonga but a gale warning is still in force for the Tongatapu Group and Eua Island.
A strong wind warning remains in force for central Tonga.
At last report Cyclone Cliff was located more than 120 nautical miles west-southwest of Nukualofa and moving steadily away.
