Fiji's Human Rights Commission has resigned from the regional body of human rights institutions, the Asia Pacific Forum.
This follows its suspension and subsequent resignation from the International Co-ordinating Committee, the ICC.
The ICC had suspended Fiji's Hurman Rights Commission in the wake of it releasing a statement in January which appeared to support the actions of the military in its takeover of the government.
The Commission's director, Dr Shaista Shameem, says due process wasn't followed.
"We need to consolidate our position, we need to strengthen ourselves, we need to go through these court cases and we don't want people with sort of supremacist views kind of looking over the shoulders of the Human Rights Commission and say do this, do that."
Dr Shameem says they also no longer support the Asia Pacific Forum undertaking a review of their operations.
