Solomon Islands Prime Minister Mannaseh Sogavare has announced that he will accept a letter of introduction for the Australian High Commissioner designate Peter Hooton,
In a statement late yesterday, Mr Sogavare said he would accept Mr Hooton who has been in the country for more than two months waiting for an official appointment with the Prime Minister.
Peter Hooton replaces former High Commissioner Patrick Cole who was declared persona non grata and expelled from the country.
The Prime Minister said he would be reiterating the issue of sovereignty to Mr Hooton when he receives him.
