Charges not faraway in "ghost employees" investigation in American Samoa

Charges are imminent in American Samoa regarding "ghost employees" within a government department.

The Samoa News reports today that the Attorney General's Office is expects to wrap up its investigation into allegations concerning "ghost employees" at the Territorial Emergency Management Coordinating Office by this weekend.

The newspaper says charges are expected to be filed in this case by early next week.

American Samoa's Acting attorney general, Frederick O'Brien, declined to comment about the case, saying only that the investigation is expected to be completed sometime this weekend.
