The Director of American Samoa's Emergency Management Coordinating Office, Faamausili Pola, has been placed on leave without pay until further notice.

Governor Togiola Tulafono says he placed the Director on excused absence, for two weeks while the Attorney General's Office investigated a report he received from the Department of Treasury.

The Governor said since receiving the report of the AG's investigation he has now placed Faamausili on leave without pay until further notice.

The governor declined to elaborate on the findings of the report saying the matter was still under investigation.
