PNG finance company enters Fiji market

A private finance company from Papua New Guinea has entered the Fiji market in competition with commercial banks and other lending institutions.

The managing director of WESRAM FINANCE, Wesley Raminai, says they will charge the lowest interest rates of all lending institutions in Fiji.

Mr Raminai has told Fiji TV they will lend to people with stable jobs but will not ask for other forms of security.

He says the people of PNG, Fiji and other Melanesian countries have similar financial needs for purposes such as funeral expenses, school fees, hospital bills and family
