Lawmakers in American Samoa to discuss territory's future political status

Lawmakers in American Samoa are expected to receive copies of the final report by the Future Political Status Study Commission early next week

The report providing options as to the future political status of American Samoa, was officially presented to the Governor's Office on January 3rd.

Two copies of the report were later delivered to the Fono leadership and they are to make copies available to members of the Senate and the House next week.

Senate President Lolo M. Moliga has said that he and House Speaker Savali Talavou Ale plan to call a joint Fono hearing to review the report as well as to receive testimonies from members of the commission.

Copies of the report are expected to be available to the public later this month.
