New Zealand's Police Minister says New Zealand Police will continue to offer its support to Tonga.

Annette King arrived in the Kingdom yesterday where she held meetings with her local counterpart, Hon Siaosi 'Aho as well as commander of police, Sinilau Kolokihakaufisi.

In an interview with Radio and TV Tonga news, Ms. King says she's in Nuku'alofa to offer New Zealand support in the wake of the November 16th riots.

Ms King says talks focussed what type of role New Zealand could play and perhaps a review of how the police work in Tonga and the help of New Zealand.
