Papua New Guinea's National Fisheries Authority has launched a new Fish TradeNet database to help them better facilitate marketing and trade queries from investors.

This was made possible through INFOFISH, an intergovernmental organisation that provides marketing information and technical advisory services for fishery products in the Asia and Pacific region.

The Post Courier reports the new internet site www.fishtradenet.com contains up to date information on tuna, shrimps and other fish stocks in various INFOFISH member countries.

It also has statistics on the various countries catches and also local prices.
