The process of selecting a telecommunications service in American Samoa is being challenged by Blue Sky Communications.

The Samoa News reports that Blue Sky is disputing the government's Procurement Office decision to let the government-owned American Samoa TeleCommunications Authority conduct the selection of the government's teleport service.

The teleport service provides a satellite connection that allows the government's communications landline's to transmit and receive overseas phone calls and other electronic data transmissions.
