Members of the American Samoa public are getting their say on the territory's future political status at a hearing this morning with the Future Political Status Commission.
The titular heads of the traditional districts of Tutuila and Manua and the public have been invited to the hearing at the Senate chamber.
The commission had said it wanted to hear the views and opinions of members of the public on the territory's political status.
The 11 member commission has just returned from a fact finding mission to Samoa.
The group has also made trips to Saipan, Palau, and Guam and has met with Samoan communities in Hawaii and on the United States west coast.
It is to submit a report on political status options by the end of the year.
