The InterContinental Hotels Group has won two major awards at the MAXX hotel Awards.
The awards recognise the most profitable hotels in the South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand.
These awards are reputed to be the only hotel awards based solely on operating performance.
The Tahiti Presse reports the InterContinental Hotels Group was up for seven awards out of 10 categories.
The winners of this year's awards were chosen from data obtained in a survey, which analysed the 2005 financial performance of close to 250 hotels and resorts.
