The US Federal Aviation Administration has agreed to continue airport advisory services at Pago Pago International Airport for one more year.

A Washington-based firm Crown Consulting is currently providing advisory services but the contract is due to expire at the end of next month.

The FAA Regional Director, William Withycombe, has informed the territory's member of the US Congress that the FAA has decided to extend and fund the airport advisory contract for one more year.

He says this will give the American Samoa Government additional time to determine its course of action for future services.
