The Hawaii-based Federal Aviation Authority is in the Northern Marianas to pick up an engine from a small plane that crashed last Friday.

The aircraft, a seven-seater Piper Cherokee which crashed shortly after take-off, was registered to Taga Air Charter Services.

All seven passengers on board the plane at the time, survived the crash.

The Saipan Tribune reports the FAA is taking the aircraft's engine back to Honolulu to find out what caused the crash.
