Fiji's national carrier introduces service to Tarawa

Fiji's national carrier, AIR PACIFIC, has begun twice weekly services from Nadi to the Kiribati capital, Tarawa, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The Tarawa flights will give Kiribati travelers same day connections through Nadi to Tokyo, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Auckland, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

The Air Pacific service with a 118-seat Boeing 737-700 aircraft will also provide flights between Tarawa and Christmas Island in the Line Islands 3,500km to the east.

Tarawa has become Air Pacific's 17th destination in a network covering 17 countries.
