The managing director of the state-owned Post Fiji Limited Peni Mau is recovering from stab wounds he suffered when he was mugged at his home two weeks ago.
The Daily Post newspaper says this has been confirmed by the police commander southern operations, Superintendent Jahir Khan, who says investigations are under way but they have no leads yet.
The newspaper quotes a well placed source as saying Mr Mau was admitted to the Suva Private Hospital and is doing well now.
The source says the attack could have been linked to recent staff redundancies at the company.
