The foreign ministries of Fiji and Israel are investigating the deportation of three Israeli tourists from Fiji last month.
According ot the news agency AAP, the three wrote to the Israeli embassy in Canberra, claiming to have been held at Nadi airport before being sent back to Australia where they had spent the previous five months.
They say armed police put them into a cell before they were sent back to Australia.
They say when they presented their passports on arrival, a Muslim Fiji immigration officer abused them and demanded that they present ID cards.
The officer said this was what Israel required from the Palestinians.
