The Cook Islands netball team is a step closer to next year's World
Championships in Suva.
The Cooks defeated Papua New Guinea 64 goals to 54 in the first Oceania qualifying match in Suva last night.
The side showed a lot of confidence in their play and dominated the game
from the start.
PNG face favourites Samoa tonight and if the Samoans win then Samoa and the Cooks will qualify for next year's world championships in Suva.
