American Samoa's Governor Togiola Tulafono and Samoa's Prime Minsiter Tuilaepa Sailele have discussed a joint approach to combat drug problems in their two countries.

The governor says he and the Prime Minister examined the possibility of establishing a joint task force to deal with drugs.

The governor said that they will continue their dialogue on this issue and the public will be informed of the results.

In his Flag Day address in April, the governor appealed to Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele for the two countries to work together to stamp out drugs.
