No passenger ferry service between American Samoa and Samoa for two weeks

There will be no passenger ferry service between American Samoa and Samoa for two weeks while the Samoan government-owned MV Lady Naomi is in dry dock in Pago Pago.

The Lady Naomi went into dry dock at the end of last week and is not expected to be back in service until May 31st, according to the local agent, Polynesian Shipping.

But on May 24th, another Samoa government-owned vessel, the MV Samoa Express, arrives in the territory.

That will be only for cargo shipments, not for passengers.

Travellers will have to depend on the three airlines that operate between the two Samoas.
