American Samoa's Office of Petroleum management has announced a big increase in petrol prices from today.
The new wholesale price for fuel raises the cost of unleaded petrol by 32 US cents and petrol stations now have to pay 72 US cents per litre
Unleaded petrol has risen to 87 US cents a litre and the wholesale price for diesel has increased to 78 cents a litre.
Jet fuel has gone up by 31 cents per gallon to 94 cents a litre.
