Press reports in French Polynesia says the territorial government is faced with loss of revenue because of challenges to the legality of tax laws adopted by the territory's legislature.
The reports say the government misses out on about 30,000 US dollars in revenue each day.
This comes after the supreme court in Paris deferred a ruling on five challenges launched in reponse to the budget tabled in the assembly.
They have been submitted by among others the Tahiti Brewery and Rene Hoffer who declared himself president at the height of the political turmoil in 2004.
Four challenges by the opposition's Gaston Flosse have been thrown out.
