Fiji's president, Ratu Josefa Iloilo, has been reappointed as head of state for another five-year term.
Reports from Fiji say the Vice President, Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi, has also been returned to office for another five-year term.
The reports say members of the Great Council of Chiefs did not propose any other names.
The return of the two office holders ends many weeks of wrangling and lobbying by various interest groups pushing for their own choice of candidates.
