Papua New Guinea's government expects to fly the body of its former prime minister, Sir William Skate, home, tomorrow.

Bill Skate, as he was better known, suffered a stroke in Port Moresby last week and was flown to the Wesley Hospital in Brisbane, where he died on Tuesday, aged 52.

The first secretary of the PNG High Commission in Australia, Joseph Nobetau said arrangements were being made for a state funeral in Port Moresby next Thursday.
