Fiji diplomats are expecting to meet a group of Fiji nationals on their arrival in the PNG capital, Port Moresby, after telling them to get out of Bougainville.

The group of purported former soldiers, have been accused of giving firearms training to youths in a rebel-held area of Bougainville.

The PNG high commissioner in Suva, Peter Eafeare, says the men can expect to interrogation from Fiji diplomats, and they may also face questions from PNG officials.

"If they were engaged in any subversive activity, including that of training our Bougainvilleans on the use of weapons and all that, if that can be substantiated, them I'm sure they will definitely be tried under our laws."
