Fiji diplomats are expecting to meet a group of Fiji nationals on their arrival in the PNG capital, Port Moresby, after telling them to get out of Bougainville.

The group of purported former soldiers, have been accused of giving firearms training to youths in a rebel-held area of Bougainville.

The PNG high commissioner in Suva, Peter Eafeare, says the men can expect to interrogation.

"They have been persuaded by their high commissioner, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola, in Port Moresby, to come out. He made contact with them by satellite phone, encouraging them to come out, to also subject themselves to an interview, probably interrogation also, as to their reasons for being on Bougainville."
